Identity Program

 

Designed for those who want the benefits that come with immediate website presence and Internet exposure of their life settlement brokerage but who want to process their own life settlement cases. Ideal for those with advanced knowledge of life settlements who want to process their own cases and need an identity. Includes:

1. Website hosting of your personally selected new domain on our servers, including 100 email addresses.


2. Licensing rights to use the “content-rich” copyrighted CharlesEdwards website material (See a sample) under your domain on our servers. You will be able to customize your affinity site to include your broker name, contact information, About Us page, and Contact Us page. Viewers will see this professional website as if it were your own. The site is designed with basic search engine optimization features allowing it to be recognized by Google, Yahoo, and other search engines.


3. Internet exposure to potential clients in all 50 states.


4. Access to all applications, a sample client engagement agreement, HIPAA and insurance releases, and other forms customized to include your broker name, contact information, and commission structure.


5. Access to developed Privacy and Anti-Fraud policies for your use.

Service Program


Designed for those who currently have their own website or desire to operate without a website or separate Internet identity but do want third-party servicing for their life settlement cases. Ideal for anyone currently referring life settlement cases to other life settlement brokers (e.g. life insurance producers, financial planners, CPAs, and lawyers), existing life settlement brokers who want to eliminate their fixed staffing costs, experienced and inexperienced professionals and other individuals who want the ability to service life settlement clients as they periodically become available without having the task of building up a separate life settlement brokerage. Includes:

1. Access to all applications, a sample client engagement agreement, HIPAA and insurance releases, and other forms customized to include your broker name, contact information, and commission structure.


2. Use of our fully developed Privacy and Anti-Fraud Policies.


3. A listing of known policy buyers with their contact email addresses for you to use in getting approved to submit cases under your new broker name.


4. Access to state licensing information, including the website addresses to each state agency to assist you in staying current on regulations.

Terms & Conditions

 

Although there are no long-term contracts with LSA, there is a two-month minimum commitment on the Monthly Master Account Fee. The second month, pre-authorized at the time of registration, is not processed until the second month. After the two-month initial commitment, terms of service are monthly thereafter and may be cancelled by you upon 30 days’ written notice to LSA. Termination of service will be effective on the monthly anniversary billing date occuring on or subsequent to the end of the 30-day notification period. Monthly Master Account Fees are not pro-rated upon termination. LSA may terminate your service immediately, without notice, if we find that you have violated the terms of the LSA Licensing and Servicing Agreement agreed to at the time of registration.

Monthly Account Fees: All Monthly Account Fees are paid monthly by credit card in advance of each month’s service. All Fees are paid by the Master Account holder.

Processing Fee: Processing Fees paid to commence the processing of a case are due at the time a case is submitted for processing. Payment is due by credit card and no processing will commence until payment has been received. An LSA Preview will be provided, without charge, at the time an LSA Pre-Qualification Worksheet is submitted to LSA. The LSA Preview is a non-binding opinion rendered by LSA regarding the potential merits of the case and whether it has an opportunity, based upon facts included in the LSA Pre-Qualification Worksheet, to attract offers in the marketplace. No guarantee or warranty as to the price or whether the case will even obtain a price is given. A reduced Processing Fee starting at $400 per insured and $150 per additional policy is offered on cases where all medical records and full qualifying LE reports are presented to LSA with the case at the time processing commences.

 

Medical Review Fee:  Medical Review Fees are optional. The medical review, conducted through a telephone interview with the insured by a contracted entity to LSA, may be requested by you to more reasonably determine an estimated life expectancy before committing to the full cost of processing the case. A medical review may not only mitigate the cost of processing non-viable cases but could also prevent unnecessary rejection of cases that would otherwise price in the secondary market.

 

Closing Fee: Closing Fees are due and payable within 15 days of the invoice date. Payment may be made by check or, with approval of LSA, by credit card.

Late Fees & Penalties


Monthly Master Account Fee: Website hosting, public and other website access, and all case processing may immediately be suspended if a Monthly Master Account Fee is not paid within 15 days of the monthly billing date due to the chargeback of an authorized renewal credit card payment for the service. If Monthly Master Account Fees are not paid for three consecutive months, all website hosting, email access, licensing rights, and services will be terminated.

Closing Fee: Closing Fees are considered late on the business day immediately following the due date as indicated on the invoice. A late fee equal to 2% of the invoice amount payable will be assessed for every month that payment is late. The late fee will be charged on the first day of every consecutive billing month thereafter until payment is made in full. Website hosting, public and other website access, licensing rights, and processing of all cases will be suspended after two consecutive months of failure to pay any Closing Fee. Website hosting, public and other website access, licensing rights, and all case processing will be terminated after three consecutive months of failure to pay any Closing Fee. Payment of Closing Fees is the responsibility of the Master Account holder.

Chargeback Fees:  You will be charged a fee of $25.00 for each credit transaction processed as payment of services but is charged back to us or declined as unpaid.

Reinstatement Fee: A $125.00 fee will be charged for any suspended or terminated account that you request to be reinstated. Reinstatement will be made only after all fees and penalties have been paid and prepayment terms have been arranged.

Refund Policy


Processing Fee: Processing Fees on cases cancelled after application packages have been sent to a prospective client but not returned will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $150 plus any third party costs (courier, etc.). Processing Fees on cases cancelled after applications have been received but before LE reports have been ordered will have a refund calculated by taking the Processing Fee paid minus the sum of $400 per insured, $150 for each policy beyond the 2nd policy, and any costs or liabilities incurred by LSA on behalf of that case (including, but not limited to, the costs of telephone, mailings, courier, printing, and medical record retrieval). Refunds will be processed within 10 days of your notification to us and, at the discretion of LSA, either credited to the account that was used to make the initial payment or used as an offset to any current receivables due to LSA in connection with other active or closed cases.

Monthly Account, Medical Review and Closing Fees: There are no refunds on the Monthly Master Account Fee, Medical Review or the Closing Fee.
